QR code generator
How to use
Make a code for a link, a Wi-Fi network or a contact. It is drawn in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.

Enter a URL to see the code.
How it's made
- A URL is encoded as the address you typed, after trimming. Only http and https are accepted.
-
Wi-Fi uses the
WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;;text that phone cameras recognise. Backslash, semicolon, comma, quote and colon in the name or password are escaped. The password is used exactly as typed. The network name is trimmed. WPA and WPA2 both useT:WPA. - A contact is a vCard 3.0. Empty fields are left out. Commas, semicolons and backslashes are escaped. Letters outside basic English are stored as UTF-8.
- Error correction is M, so about 15% of the code can be damaged and it should still scan. A 4-module quiet zone surrounds the code. The drawing is black on white in light and dark mode, which is what scanners expect. PNG and SVG are the same picture, about 1024 pixels on a side. The SVG stays sharp when scaled.
